We can’t say enough of our Savior God
but we say, in love, No one’s like the Rock
First, He rose from death, then proceeded to
speak with His two men who were at the tomb
Jesus died this time of year
when the plants begin to bloom
Hundreds met Him forty days
after He rose from the tomb
to give us beauty instead of ashes
He gives us beauty instead of ashes
Angels met His men, and His women, too
All were scared to death, you would be scared, too
Men in shiny clothes, they were terrified
told them Jesus rose, that He said He’d rise
Jesus died this time of year
And He rose up from the grave
He was taken in the clouds
He’d return in the same way
to give us beauty instead of ashes
He gives us beauty instead of ashes
Jesus had a coal fire on the shore
Cast your line below and you’ll catch much more
They ate broiled fish and the Baker’s bread
It’s a common dish but we’re spiritually fed
“Cast the net into the right,”
Jesus said from the shore
“of the boat and you will find”
all the fishes of the Lord
to give us beauty instead of ashes
He gives us beauty instead of ashes
Many times the Lord visited His sheep
Many people saw and had food to eat
Shepherding the lost and the ones He’ll keep
never counting costs ’cause His pocket’s deep
Jesus died this time of year
as the plants all start to bloom
Jesus holding us so near
far away from that dark tomb
to give us beauty instead of ashes
He gives us beauty instead of ashes
Happy Resurrection Easter Sunday!
May Jehovah bless you and your friends and family
