We Are Blessed

Blinded by the light of darkness
night and day they, vainly, bargain
Unenlightened, reckless zombies
stumbled through the devil’s party

Even though we’ve been distracted
we have known the Man of action
Still a tower and we have him
till the hour that we graduate

Amidst their inaptitude
or is it ingratitude?
his way is higher than ours

The world’s a mess
but we are blessed
The world’s a mess but we are blessed

Welcome to the world’s corruption
Television’s pure seduction
wicked people all succumb to
It’s a part of God’s new judgment

On our way to our perfection
God has made us his selection
We all know we’re his elect that
he’s been growing and protecting

Amidst their perversity
and their grand absurdity
his way is higher than ours

The world’s a mess
but we are blessed
The world’s a mess but we are blessed

On account of the elect
the days would be cut short
Thank you, Lord, for your great mercy
Have mercy on us, all

Using all its ammunition
foolish armor and all fiction
causing endless, worldwide misery
all the rebels fail to listen

God’s already judged his church and
marching out she left to serve him
showing her the one that’s perfect:
local churches or eternal

Amidst their ineptitude
but it was inevitable
his way is higher than ours

The world’s a mess
but we are blessed
The world’s a mess but we are blessed
