Near to him, the bridge, here he is, the bridge
As he towers past everything
stretching further than anything
past the sun and the galaxies
even past all eternity
he’s our only one certainty
With stories from my loved ones
of him straightening out lives

he can be trusted entirely
Fearing him, the bridge, cheering in the bridge

Spirit on the bridge: We’re a part of him
So, we’re in him, not on the street
flowing through him, as his blood does stream
He’s the Head, we’re his body he’s
always fed, as he cares and cleans
at the side of the bridge are we
Some are ruled by man’s illusions
But on you, I AM now cruising
On your shoulders I am riding
Driving over on the highway
And the light shines in the darkness
and the darkness did not overtake it
I’ve seen cars get washed away by floods
to fields by the side of roads
and thieves on streets who steal the parts of cars
and leave them like some hellish shells
and the indignity of a train sitting in a lake
Who cleans it up but the LORD?
I travel along the king’s highway
I will not turn aside to the right or to the left
until I have passed your border
’cause I belong to another world
and I look forward to going home forever
By him, alone, will I get there
