The time of Christmas is here, and we’re reminded that Jesus is near, right by our sides, the good leader of the universe, the co-creator of it, and eternal love that’s all around us, and always blessing us. Recent Biblical research by Harold Camping revealed that Jesus’s birthday was between October 1st and October 3rd.
Merry Christmas!
Don’t fear the new, but pray, instead. It’s normal that we’re seeing progress in all areas of life, including our relationship with God, and normal that all institutions, such as our governments, are full of deception, violence and treachery these days. We are experiencing wars and rumors of wars and love that’s run cold with most people, as Jesus predicted, in Matthew 24. What we need to do is obey all that God says in the Bible. God will enable us. God provides.
Joseph and Mary obeyed God and government perfectly, two thousand years ago. The Bible says, in Luke 21:1-7, they successfully moved to Bethlehem, in present-day Israel. “And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.”
How cruel to have to give birth in the cold! Fortunately, for the young couple, it wasn’t too cold in the beginning of October, as Harold Camping’s research found, and not the end of December when it’s really chilly. The baby Jesus made it, thankfully, and grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men, as the Bible says, in Luke 2:52. Supernatural people, such as Joseph and Mary, die, spiritually, every day, the Bible says. Natural and unnatural people only die once, physically, at the end of their lives. But God’s elect live, after death, for eternity with God. The reprobates’ lives are ended, forever, and they are forgotten, completely, by everyone, including God.
Joseph and Mary had the faith of Jesus. And Jesus went all the way with his faith and obeyed God the Father to sacrifice his life for his people. After he died, he rose again to life everlasting. And Jesus is praying, nonstop, that God enables us to take it one day at a time, and we take it one step at a time, no more, no less, to obey successfully. Jesus’s faith enables us to be obedient, all the way to being with him, and ruling, by his side, as his bride, and wife, forever.
Every day I start by praying. That’s how I get on the same page as God in this rotten world with my rotten self. Recently I needed to mail a copy of paycheck information to a healthcare provider for a useless test I was deceived into getting. It’s a long story but I had trouble printing it at home and I had to go to Staples to have them do it for me. They weren’t much help for me, either, telling me I had to do most of the work but fortunately for me a customer helped me do it. She had a lot of trouble, also, but we finally got the job done – for Staples – and I had my copies made. God provided that kind woman for me because I was cooperating with the healthcare provider and that’s what he wanted me to do. God helps us all the time, especially when we’re doing what he wants us to do.
We don’t need a little Jesus now, we need a lot of Jesus now, with the crazy world in the state it’s in.
