Christmas Feast

Little Christmas for all
frigid winter, instead
Baby Jesus was small
Major Jesus immense

Upside-down day
he’s sending more our way
Supper’s this way
it’s free to eat, so take
Fill yourself with
his food to make you live
Take it all in
’cause you must give and give

People make things so cold
Demons, also, unnamed
Eat the feast of the bold
weaned from Mom for a change

Eat more and more and more and more
the small will fall in the war
Eat more and more and more and more and more
the LORD brings war on us, all

Christmas feast! It’s a Christmas feast!
You can buy and eat without money
Just bring love

Understanding’s been lost
drifting far off the course
of the plan of the LORD
of that, few, here, will talk

You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies
You make fat my head with oil
my cup runs over

Shrink away and you’re caught
Eat it all and be strong
Call the name of the Lord
He’s the friend of the lost

Where’re my friends?
They’re on their way
Buying and selling without money
Forever, we’ll stay

Christmas feast! It’s a Christmas feast!
You can buy and eat without money
Just bring love

Moab, Ammon, Mount Seir
Rome and England and more
God’s invaders are here
Watch their kings get destroyed

Work for the food that lasts
not for the food that’s bad
The feast of God comes down from heaven
Follow his Star real far
This is the work of God

We must travel so far
And must carry a load
‘Cause we follow the Star
all get food for the road

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ
that, though he was rich
yet for your sakes he became poor
that you through his poverty might be rich

Christmas feast! It’s a Christmas feast!
You can buy and eat without money
Just bring love
