A Rest for Thanksgiving

Everywhere we look we see needy people and we feel sorry for them and help them. We help physically, by giving them things, and spiritually helping them, by knowing each other and praying. The needy always benefit and usually appreciate it but sometimes they don’t. And they act rudely and take advantage of those who help them who don’t owe them anything at all, or were forced to help them, against their will, weakening them, and it happens again and again, as some prosper. This is a sad evil we are witnessing.

So, the strong become stronger and the weak become weaker and there is no intercessor. God is the strongest intercessor and provider, but he isn’t helping much.

I had a workman comp injury several months ago and there was a mistake, and I was billed for it, not my company’s workman comp insurance company. I called my company’s healthcare provider and my company many times to clarify this, and transfer responsibility for payment of this bill to my company and their workman comp insurance company and didn’t get anywhere. I keep getting pressured to work this out when I shouldn’t have to, it should be between my company’s healthcare company and my company and my company’s workman comp insurance company. I’m an innocent party here, interceding and mediating between three big organizations who can’t work things out.

So, the greedy become greedier, and the cruel become crueler. God’s the mediator, but my heart is being torn to shreds.

We all see that it’s a shame how life has deteriorated.

A rest, this Thanksgiving, for the evil in this world, would be nice.

A rest, this year, from the injustice, all over, is what I want. That’s what I’ll be thankful for.

A rest, some people need a rest.
