We’re living in uncertain times
but one thing you can be sure of:
day after day, you can always pray

Pray to survive
Pray to say ‘Hi’
Pray to your god
Pray for your car
Pray to be safe
Pray for your day
You can always pray

Pray for your Ma
Pray for your Pa
Pray for your sis
maybe you miss
Pray for your bro
maybe you owe
One thing to know:
you can always pray

You’ll have to wait a second
I’m going to pray
It only takes a second

You’ll notice I don’t trust myself
but one thing you can be sure of:

Pray for the rent
Pray money’s sent
Or pray for wings
Pray for all things
Pray you can pay
Pray things don’t change
and you’re always safe

Pray for your week
Pray when you speak
Pray on your jobs
Pray all you want
Pray for your year
Pray for your fears
One thing is clear:
God is near who prays

Think a demon might go crazy
if I start a new craze
And we’ll see if someone’s lazy
throw it back in my face

Guess I’ll have to pray
