God said Gideon is His man
Gideon tested Him with the woolen fleece
God then wet Gideon’s fleece
Gideon led Israel to where they’re supposed to be
The Spirit of Jehovah clothed Gideon
God made Gideon act so brave
that he went breaking down all the foreign gods
He obeyed all God said
Gideon raised Israel to break off the pagan rot
The Spirit of God clothed Gideon (with Himself)
God led Gideon into war
Gideon’s men were used by God mightily
“For Jehovah and for
Gideon!” cried Israel and went on, to victory
The Spirit of Jehovah clothed Gideon (with Himself)
as Jesus clothes us, my friends
He clothes us with His love
He clothes as with His blood
He prays for us constantly
He prays to our Father
He prays for us endlessly
He prays He is friendly
while in Heaven
He prays as He dies for us
He prays sacrificing
He prays as He’s glad for us
He prays first in battle
as our Captain
He prays for the Counselor
He prays He empowers
He prays He enables us
He prays as He’s grateful
at His table
God blessed Gideon’s legacy
Gideon’s seventy sons all had been redeemed
God led Jotham to speak
Shechem’s men went off to war and died by his prophecy
The Spirit of Jehovah clothed Gideon (with Himself)
as Jesus clothes us
He clothes as with His love
