There’s Nothing Good But You

The world is intoxicated and disintegrating
since there is nothing good in it at all
And they’ll be interrogated and annihilated
as none of them submit to all our laws

But healed of that condition I love you, Great Physician

By your loving side is lovingkindness
I don’t need a thing as your love’s shining
The earth is cursed and I am finding
there’s nothing good in life but you

The truth is not complicated but a help for nations
since it’s been plain as day for years and years
Our people are consecrated, getting integrated
and we’re obeying with a healthy fear

And you provide me safety ’cause you’re on earth my sanctuary

Thankfulness and wisdom are inside it
There I go for rest and peace and quiet
A house of defense to save me you are my rock and fortress
for your namesake lead me and guide me

But I’m like Pharaoh, at the moment
with hardness of heart and plagued
and enslaved and in great pain
I’ve got to let the people go
or die, deep, in the Pride Sea

I cry as they’re subjugated and investigated
when you have easy yokes for me to bear
None stand as emancipated and sophisticated
unless we’re freed from every dragon’s lair

But please show them mercy ’cause we’re blessed eternally

You are making simple ones much wiser
When you judge the wicked ones you’ll hide me
Under your wing I will fly to
Up to the palace of ivory towers forever
