Precious Stones

Jesus was the sacrificial Lamb
Like a rock, he
had obeyed and took an iron stand
for the Father

Jesus died upon the cross
Where he gave away it all
He’ll remember us
And be back before too long

David was his predecessor-king
in the Bible
He had picked some stones up for his sling
for Goliath

Who is God, save the LORD?
And who’s a rock, save our God?
He teaches my hands to war
a bow of steel is broken in my arms

Hearts like mine were hardest of the hard
But you loved me
Rock-hard hearts all melt when they meet God
in the judgment

I’m like a kite that flies
High on your string
The Summer sun is rust
But we still sing

Jewels for his everlasting crown
nice and shiny
Gemstones for the Lord who’s coming down
In his timing

But he’s number one
And what better love?
Where there’s never enough
There’s no better love than Jesus’s love

Happy Easter!
