It’s sad but always time of war
since Pharaoh had a heart of stone
and Nero played his cruel, cruel songs
and Jesus died but then he rose
In wars or rumors of wars
we don’t walk in fear
Jesus Christ has indisputable authority
He is all we need
Because we’ve seen these things before
and all have known that there’s a God
As Egypts chase us to the walls
the LORD still leads us on and on
Although our backs seem to the wall
we know exactly who we are
we’re not forsaken here at all
and not forgotten by our God
We’re going clear through the end
We have no fear of the end
The end is the beginning
We’ve done some time with lowlife fools
and been on highways sailing through
but what some say about the truth
is different from the things they do
Amidst the death and with our enemies
Praise the LORD! Here at the bitterest end
he’s not a general or a weapon he’s
so much more! He’s our invincible friend
