The Grateful

Things have been going so badly, lately, that I had to examine my life. I found I was not giving money (tithe) to God.

I took out my Bible concordance and looked up all of the places “tithe” is in the Bible. One of them is in the Bible’s Old Testament Book of Malachi, where God promises to bless abundantly, when we tithe in the correct way.

Because I thought there were no good places to give to, I wasn’t tithing. So, I decided to tithe by buying bibles and giving them out at places, so people could have perfectly new bibles and get the clear, unadulterated message of God I don’t think they get anywhere.

After I bought some bibles and gave them out I looked for God’s blessing. I immediately found blessings, especially in ways I was not expecting.

My life was so difficult that I felt like I had to run to God to get relief. I did, and I got it. Thank God.

I hope you find your way, also.

Through desert places, past empty faces, you’ve sent me
By many stages, some pleasant stations, you’ve fed me
You’ve led me through treacherous places

Through the Waste Land
you’ve taken me by the hand
to the Safe Place
The Grateful

For sake of greatness (your name is Greatness), you’ve saved me
While flames were painful, you’ve paved the Way to the space, here
You’ve tamed me through steps and through phases

Through the Waste Land
you’ve taken me by the hand
to the Safe Place
The Grateful

The Strait
The Narrow
On track, though

Your sayings will stay, here

Through the Waste Land
you’ve taken me by the hand
to the Safe Place
The Grateful
