People who value things differently than other people cannot impose their values on them if they don’t agree. They should agree to disagree, and leave it. And go their separate ways.
But what happens if there aren’t anymore places to go to?
People with differing values who live in peace is a beautiful thing. Why don’t people celebrate it, then?
The Pilgrims moved from persecution
From England to the land of Holland
When that was not enough they flew to
a land as hard as Plymouth Rock was
On the Mayflower
She would take them there
Massachusetts was
where they’d choose to go
In the rain and snow
and the painful cold
The Natives proved to be a Godsend
The pilgrims liked their friendly neighbors
It seemed unusual but was not, though
when Providence supplies the basics
Most Pilgrims died in those cold winters
But they survived and others followed
They’re one of a kind, those faithful Christians
When they’re forgotten it brings sorrow
