Many trials in our lives
All these problems ganging up
Lots of fires we’ve put out
Many sorrows overcome

A woodpecker pecks outside
the sun rises in the sky
the birds sing their lovely songs
and buds forming for strong eyes
as God, up high, shows us signs

LORD of curses, God will choose
All suspicions make things gray
LORD of burdens, God will use
All afflictions fade away

The woodpecker hits the tree
the sun’s risen way up high
the birds went to search for food
and buds start to open wide
as God, up high, holds all life

Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not unto your own understanding
In all your ways acknowledge him
and he shall direct your paths

Understanding they’re commands

All these memories in our heads
we are dreading through the door
often running through our minds
will be troubling us no more

The woodpecker’s flown away
the sun makes his daily ride
the birds get their portions filled
and buds drink in sun like wine
as God, up high, molds the wise
