The Most Romantic

Life can be awfully tough, but
deep in my heart there’s love
I can be kind of mean, but
you keep me pretty sweet

A summer breeze…
although it’s almost over we
will always be

Romance in my home
You are the most romantic
And we’re never apart in this God-forsaken world

How many things have you done for me?
I couldn’t count them
And not what I expect. Ever

Some act like savage beasts ’cause
they don’t know what we mean
They’ve never drank the wine but
we’ve drunk the cup bone-dry

And pretty soon
when swallows fly, far off, in groups
I’ll still have you

Romance on the road
You’re with me, wherever I go
You stick with me, though I don’t deserve it

How many things have you done for me?
I couldn’t count them
And not what I expect. Ever

Yes, you’re the best
And it will only be getting better and better

Where do we go from here? the
way’s not entirely clear
Mountains to climb are high, but
you’re here, right by my side

The coming storm
with thunder and with lightning you’re
real tough but warm

Romance till I’m whole
Then, you’ll be all I’ll know
And who better?
No one can even come close
Since I’ve got you in this divided world
It isn’t nearly as cold

How many things have you done for me?
I couldn’t count them
And not what I expect. Ever

Yes, you’re the best
And it will only be getting better and better

I’ve got some tests but you’re the best
and it will always be getting better and better
