Shouting on the Mountain

The world should all know, to give them all hope
the places you’d go, and ways that you’d show
the poor how to live, and also to give
and how to forgive, the mountain you’ve been

No more dreary Easters
insincere ones
or incidentals
since you’ve been so incredible
Nothing’s impossible with God

You broke through all doors, ’cause all’ve been enslaved
set prisoners free because you obeyed
You rose from the tomb though no one believed
and later broiled fish for friends on the beach

I want to shout about you
for all the things that you do
The world should all know
no one even comes close

Shouting on the mountain
for all to hear
Shouting on the mountain
because you’re near

Those dark darkened days, like our darkened days
were turned into hope, like when we obey
The patience of saints who patiently wait
we stand in the way, and naturally praise

Praise God in his sanctuary
Praise him for his mighty acts
Praise him with the sound of the trumpet
Praise him with stringed instruments
Praise him upon the loud cymbals
Let every thing that has breath praise the LORD

Shouting on the mountain
for all to hear
Shouting on the mountain
because you’re here

We’re all called to shout
encouraged to praise
commanded to sing
and ordered to play
to the LORD of all things
our Captain and King

Happy Good Friday and Easter!
