I showed my love to you, and so, we’re both alone

Several days ago, a mechanic asked me who changed the oil on my car. He showed me the oil filter which was covered with oil. It was loose, and oil was leaking out of it. The engine could have seized-up, but God blessed me.

The very next day I followed an SUV into two feet of water and drove through it for about a hundred feet. I could have tried to pull-off the road but I proceeded, and made it through. I could have totaled my car. I’m a risk-taker, but the LORD had mercy.

Each day this dumb world’s unclearer
It’s not what we’re used to
I’ve started to pull you nearer
I know what I’m doing

I think you’re so beautiful
could I fly off with you?
You think it’s peculiar?
I could fly right out of here

Just tell me and we’ll move quickly
I know you’re my future
I’m ready, let’s leave this minute
the seconds we’re losing

Who needs a sunset?
I’m ready to go, this instant

I showed my love to you
and so, we’re both alone

I showed my love to you                                                                                                and so, we’re both alone

The others don’t see your beauty
because they’re so stupid
Just tell me when we’ll be leaving
I won’t pack a suitcase

Here, on Strait Street, it’s a narrow road                                                                      First, we’re waiting, then we’re travelling home

I showed my love to you                                                                                                and so, we’re both alone

I showed my love to you                                                                                                and so, we’re both alone
