We Stagger Not

You’re like the Amish, now
a people on the side
but jewels on the crown
and you will never hide

There’s nothing here, for us
the sun is going down
The car is parked out back
we’ll drive it out of town

So, start driving!
In our junky car
Don’t stop driving!
On and on and on

The ugly duckling’s got
its own peculiar way
The car’s a beat-up car
but she has got her place

The whip is cracking for
the dumb ones who look back
You know what happens to
the stubborn, who are slack

So, start driving!
In our rusty car
Don’t stop driving!
On and on and on

If they don’t hate us
then, why are they always trying to change us?

A city, much too bright
is on the road, you’ll see
The wicked, here, will cry
when you get home with me

You’ll stagger not at God’s
great promise through belief
You’re strong in his good faith
and glory, you’ll receive

So, start driving!
in our dusty car
Don’t stop driving!
On and on and on

If they don’t hate us
then, why are they always trying to change us?

So, get in, behind the wheel, and TAKE OFF!

Where is love?

The car is nothing
but what we need
to get us where we want to be

So, start driving!
In our clunky car
Don’t stop driving!
On and on and on and on
