When God takes things away from you, or denies you things, less is between you and God. That’s a good thing, though we don’t always see it that way. Things get in the way and are distractions from God. The Bible says Jesus is the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. (John 14:6 KJ3) And we will be close to Him. (Exodus 20:3 KJ3)
After Moses died, at the Jordan River, Joshua said, “Your wives, your little ones, and your livestock shall remain in the land which Moses has given to you beyond the Jordan. But you shall cross over armed before your brothers, all the mighty ones of strength and shall help them, until Jehovah has given rest to your brothers, as well as to you, and they, even they have possessed the land which Jehovah your God is giving to them. And you may return to the land of your possession, and may possess it, which Moses the servant of Jehovah has given to you beyond the Jordan toward the rising of the sun.” (Joshua 1:14-15 KJ3)
In those verses God says, “Jehovah has given rest to your brothers.” Remember, Jesus is our rest, as He was the ark for Noah and his family and the way and the light and the shade and the food for Moses and the Israelites through the wilderness, etc., as the theme of the Bible, repeated over and over, is Jehovah saves His people. Go through God’s door He’s opening. It’s the next thing for you. Pray each step of the way, thanking God you’re in the Way (Jesus). The new world will be much more beautiful because you’ll be closer to God.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
