If you look up in the sky you might see a bird flying on the horizon.
A bird flew in the heavens by the Mountain of the Lion to see the sights there but came down to earth and fed her family. Then, she touched down on the ground to get more food near a dove and a reptile. The dove was a lovely white dove and the reptile was golden, for the moment, because he was a chameleon, so, the bird didn’t take notice of them. She didn’t hear them talking, either, because she was more interested in getting lots of food.
While the bird was searching around the dove said to the reptile, “That foolish bird has mouths to feed. You aren’t planning to eat her, by any chance? You could eat that dying snail over there.”
“I’ll take that under consideration,” Chamelion said, and shot out his sticky tongue and killed the bird as soon as the dove had flown.
Later, the soul of the bird cried out from the reptile’s stomach, all the way up to heaven by the Mountain of the Lion.
“Your remembered sayings are like ashes,” the dove told Chamelion. “Surely your backs are backs of clay.”
And the lion returned as everyone thought and the dove knew and annihilated the chameleon until there was nothing left of him, not even his memory.
